We are announcing the ‘Mini‑Grants for Internationalization’ competition

Announcement by the Director of the UKW Doctoral School on the "Mini‑Grants for Internationalization" Competition

The aim of the competition is to finance individual research activities enabling the internationalisation of research carried out as part of the Individual Research Plan of a doctoral student enrolled in the Doctoral School at UKW.

The competition aims to develop doctoral students’ skills in planning and implementing individual research or creative projects in an international environment.

The subject of the research activity implemented under the internationalisation mini-grant must fall within the scope of the doctoral student’s Individual Research Plan (IRP).

Individual research activities covered by this competition include participation in international conferences, research internships, and research stays at foreign institutions.

The implementation of the research activity must be directly related to the internationalisation of the doctoral student’s research.

With regard to doctoral students representing musical arts, it is permitted to carry out artistic or creative activities under the internationalisation mini-grant.

The research activity financed under the internationalisation mini-grant must be carried out between 1 March and 31 December 2026.

The maximum amount of the internationalisation mini-grant is PLN 10,000 (excluding indirect costs).

Application schedule:

  • 9–22 February 2026 – submission of applications for mini-grants

  • 23–26 February 2026 – formal and substantive evaluation of applications

  • by 27 February 2026 – announcement of the results and notification of applicants
